The Experts Speak: Delivering and Consuming Virtual Desktop Infrastructure as a Service
Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) is extremely compelling, but there are many scenarios for which it is too costly and complex for enterprises to build and maintain VDI. At the same time, service providers who have been delivering outsourced computing services and have extensive data center infrastructures in place, want to offer new, value-added services. These two needs are converging into cloud-hosted desktops as a service (DaaS).
In this panel webinar, industry experts and key constituents involved in building, enabling and consuming VDI as a service (including IDC, Desktone, IBM, and Pike County Schools) will explore the economic and technology trends and realities that are driving cloud-hosted desktops, where DaaS does (and doesn’t) make sense, and what to expect as DaaS adoption grows.
